Post-doctoral position at the University of Oxford


Applicants are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to work with the Gene Medicine Research Group, directed by Professors Deborah Gill and Steve Hyde based at the University of Oxford. The project will involve the design and production of lentiviral vectors, and delivery to a range of animal models of influenza challenge.
Position 1 – Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Grade 7: Salary in the range £32,236-£34,189 p.a.
Applicants will hold a PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in gene therapy, or a closely related field. Technical proficiency in cell and molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, immunohistochemistry and Q-PCR is essential and you will hold a Home Office Licence or similar. Specialist knowledge in monoclonal antibodies, influenza or other respiratory infections would be desirable.
This is a full-time position, fixed-term for 24 months.
