Director of Translational Research - Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center

The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is seeking a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at the Associate Professor level as Director of Translational Research for the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Program at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). 

The appointee will become a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School, and join a superb faculty with strengths in all aspects of pediatric stem cell transplantation and gene therapy. Outstanding applicants will be exceptional clinicians who have demonstrated experience in initiating and leading clinical research relevant to stem cell transplantation with a preference for those engaged in control of GVHD, graft engineering, adoptive immunotherapy and gene therapy, and with relevant translational experience in these areas.

Candidates must have an MD and/or MD, PhD degree and postdoctoral experience. Advanced training/degree in clinical research is desired. The Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center has a faculty numbering more than 130, with exceptional research and clinical programs in non-malignant hematology, hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, stem cell transplant, experimental therapeutics, gene therapy, vascular anomalies and neuro-oncology.
